Snipping tool

Snipping tool usesThe Windows Snipping Tool is a Microsoft Windows screenshot utility included in Windows Vista and later.

It is extremely useful when working remote and for times when you cannot point to something on your screen with your team next to you.

You can take still screenshots of any open window, rectangular areas, a free-form area, or the entire screen and then your snips can be annotated and scribbled on usually for internal use and for items that don’t need to be too neat. It’sometimes easier tos cribble on a picture than to explain it in words and this is where the free Windows snip tool becomes extremely handy

Snips can then be annotated using a mouse or a tablet, stored as an image file or an MHTML file, or e-mailed.

The way to find the snip tool is to go to your search field and type in Sniping tool or look under “S” in your start menu. Then add it to your favourites or “pin to taskbar” and it will always be there for you to open up.
